Darrenlas Primary School awarded the RSQM
The RJC is pleased to announce that Darrenlas Primary School has been awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM).
Chris Straker, the RJC’s interim chief executive, said:
“My heartfelt congratulations to Darrenlas Primary School on achieving the RSQM. I was delighted to present the award to the school at the excellence in education conference last week. This award marks the school’s commitment to develop a culture of inclusion, equality and diversity where children learn to be resilient, responsible and empathetic.”
The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. Darrenlas Primary School joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.
Bethan Rosser, restorative approaches lead for Darrenlas Primary School, said:
“We were overjoyed to be acknowledged as a restorative school. It was great recognition of our three year journey implementing restorative approaches. It is a very rewarding and worthwhile process.”
