The RJC is pleased to announce that NFS Mediation Service is the latest organisation to be awarded the Restorative Service Quality Mark (RSQM). NFS Mediation Service provides a free, confidential and independent mediation service offered to the people of Southampton and surrounding areas. It delivers a range of restorative services throughout Hampshire for local authorities as well as a number of housing associations.

Jim Simon, the RJC’s chief executive, said:

"Congratulations to NFS Mediation Service on achieving the RSQM, which shows their commitment to restorative processes throughout its services. Well done to all the team.”

The RSQM is a badge of quality that guarantees that a service provides safe, high quality restorative practice which meets the six Restorative Service Standards. NFS Mediation Service joins other RSQM awardees – in sectors ranging from criminal justice through education to care – delivering high quality restorative processes.

Sue Barber, NFS Mediation Services Manager, said:

“We were delighted to hear that our application had achieved the RSQM accreditation. The RSQM award acknowledges the high quality of our safe and successful restorative services as a testament to the dedication of our volunteers, staff and trustees.

“We found working towards the RSQM gave us focus and led us to consolidating partnerships as well as considering new areas and opportunities to develop our skills.”
